In the opening race in Australia, Lando Norris secured the win with an impressive time of 1:42:06.304. "Winning in Australia is always special; the crowd's energy drives you forward," said Norris after the race on March 16, 2025.

Oscar Piastri quickly followed suit with his own victory at the subsequent Grand Prix in China, finishing with a remarkable time of 1:30:55.026. He remarked, "To get my first win so early in the season just feels fantastic. The team has given me a car that I can really push to the limit."

Japan saw Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing claim a victory, but McLaren's dominance soon reasserted itself. Piastri won again in both Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, demonstrating consistent performance. "I'm just focused on maximizing our potential race by race," Piastri commented after his Bahrain victory on April 13, where he completed the race in 1:35:39.435.
